Downtown Dance and upcoming 'Stream'

Downtown Dance has been holding modern dance classes in a lovely location down town thanks to the generosity of Kaesung Academy in Springville.

We are pleased to announce that we are changing our focus ever so slightly.

Though we are still meeting Tuesday and Thursday 7:30-8:30 pm, please join us in workshop to dance, train, share and create a community event called 'Stream'.

In order to make DowntownDance a sustainable class, and happy venture we need the support of all our friends!

We finally have a 10 class punch card option for 50$, bring a friend and get the second punch card for half off! Spread the word for the Holidays, we have gift boxes for easy and thoughtful gift giving. Inside our beautiful box give a gift certificate for 30 workshop sessions for 100$.

All proceeds go to sustain Downtown Dance community class and performance opportunities.

Starting October 2009 Chantal Downing will be hosting "downtown dance" modern dance classes for adults and teens, at the Kaesung Academy in downtown Springville.

changedowndances is now in post-production.

First, a humble and heartfelt thank you to all of those who came out to participate as active audience practitioners to the event called 'bridging' to get from here to there... expressions of getting to know other, self, country and building community.

It was an honor to see each and every one of you!

I am in the process of assembling video of the process and final performance.

At this time I would like to invite you, if you are inclined to please leave feedback on either the process; if you were a member of this collaboration or your feedback on the final performance if you were a guest at the show.

It is enormously useful for future work to understand where we have been, I am grateful for anything you offer here.

Bridging

changedowndances is performing tomorrow night at The Sugar Space in SLC.

Perfomers include Nanny Bayles, Krista DiLello, Jordan Wonnacott, Evita Johnson, Lindsey Challis, Heather Arnett and Chantal Downing.
This performance features fine local dancers from BYU and the U of U. We are also honored to be collaborating with Portland poet and writer Shaun DeNooyer and film maker Amanda Belantara.
